Digital Communications Manager

If you answered yes to these questions, you might be just the person we are looking for.

Our mission is to raise awareness about photography ethics across the world. In order to accomplish this goal, we need a stellar Digital Communications Manager to join our team. In this role, you would manage our online presence and represent the Photography Ethics Centre by keeping up with and contributing to current online debates.


  • Monitor the internet for news, events, and other content related to photography ethics

  • Share relevant content with our network through our social media platforms

  • Contribute to online debates in a timely and constructive manner

  • Create your own content on photography ethics for publication through our channels

  • Participate in the development of a broader communications strategy


  • Passion for photography ethics

  • Able to think critically about questions of ethics

  • A solid understanding of current debates in photography

  • Experience using social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn

  • Strong communication skills in English

  • Self-starting and able to work independently

The Digital Communications Manager will report directly to the Director. This position will be conducted remotely and will require access to the internet. This is a part time position that will need approximately 2-4 hours a week.

This is a volunteer position. However, we believe in making it worth your while. We offer an opportunity to be part of a growing international team, we will provide regular guidance and feedback, and we will supply you with one year free website hosting through Wake Up Working. If the position is filled by a student, we will help them to fulfil university requirements to receive credit.
